Terms of Service
Last updated 30 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Elysium Designs, the business that makes and runs Velo (“Velo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Velo you agree to them. If you use Velo on behalf of a business, you agree for that business and confirm you have the authority to.
1. The service
Velo is software for running client work: invoices, quotes and proposals, projects, time and expense tracking, client portals, intake forms, booking pages, e-signatures, an AI assistant (“Ask Velo”), and related tools. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove something material from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password and sign-in codes private.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by teammates you invite.
- Tell us straight away at velo@elysiumdesigns.in if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Payments between you and your clients
Velo does not process, hold or transfer your clients’ money. When you add a payment link, UPI ID or bank details to an invoice, your client pays you directly through that provider. Any dispute about a payment, a refund to your client, or a chargeback is between you, your client and that provider. We do not take a cut of your invoices.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Velo has a Free plan and paid plans (Solo, Studio and Agency). They differ in volume, such as how many clients, invoices, quotes and teammates you can have, as shown on the pricing page. Enterprise terms are agreed separately in writing.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles applicable sales tax, VAT or GST. Your card details go to Dodo Payments, never to us.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata for the rest of the current period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep your current plan until then.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan. Payments are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy or where the law requires otherwise.
- If a payment fails, we may limit your workspace to the Free plan’s limits until it is paid. Nothing you have created is deleted because of this.
- We may change prices. Any change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you at least 30 days in advance.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Velo is yours: clients, documents, files, messages and everything else. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to run Velo for you, for example to send an invoice you asked us to send or to answer a question you asked Ask Velo. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Data.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for having a lawful basis to give us your clients’ personal data. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Velo to:
- send spam, phishing, or invoices for goods or services you did not provide;
- commit fraud, launder money, or break sanctions or any other law;
- upload malware, or content that is illegal or infringes someone else’s rights;
- probe, overload or get around the security or usage limits of Velo, or access another customer’s data;
- resell Velo, or scrape or copy it to build a competing product.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put other customers at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
7. AI features
Ask Velo, voice input, drafted proposals, digests and similar features use AI models and can make mistakes. Check anything Velo drafts before you send it, particularly amounts, tax and dates. What you send to a client is your responsibility.
8. E-signatures
Velo records a signer’s consent, email verification, IP address, device and a fingerprint of the signed document. Whether an e-signature is valid for a given agreement depends on where you and your client are. You are responsible for deciding whether it is suitable for your contract.
9. Not professional advice
Tax rates, currency conversions, reports and templates in Velo are provided for convenience. They are not tax, accounting or legal advice. Check with a qualified professional before relying on them.
10. Third-party services
Some features connect to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, QuickBooks, Xero, video-meeting providers and payment providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their availability or for what they do.
11. Availability
We work to keep Velo running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. It may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Velo is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us arising from your content or from your breach of these terms.
14. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end these terms by giving you 30 days’ notice, or immediately for a serious breach. Sections 3, 5, 9, 12, 13 and 16 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
15. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Velo after that, you accept the new terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
